Wander through the narrow streets of Sant'Angelo
It begins here, in the island's most romantic village. Stroll past white houses and narrow alleyways opening onto the sea. Stop in small shops to discover ceramics, handmade sandals, and lemon-scented perfumes.

Visit Ischia's beaches
Maronti Beach is awesome, but if you're looking for a change of scene, head over to Forio and check out Citara Beach. It's wide and sandy, and people love it for its sunsets and proximity to the Poseidon Gardens.
North, on the other hand, is the Bay of San Montano, between Lacco Ameno and Casamicciola. Nestled between two green promontories, the water here is calm and shallow.

Admire the sunset from Punta Chiarito or Mount Epomeo
Get to Punta Chiarito, a promontory lying between Sant'Angelo and Forio. Overlooking the open sea, you'll see Capri's silhouette on the horizon. Alternatively, why not reach Mount Epomeo, the island's highest peak? You can walk there in about an hour from Fontana, and from the top you'll see the whole island of Ischia below you. It's one of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see.
Visit the La Mortella Gardens
Located in Forio, they are worth the trip. The La Mortella Gardens are a botanical masterpiece, commissioned by Lady Walton, wife of English composer William Walton. You'll be caught up in a labyrinth of exotic plants, fragrant flowers, waterfalls, and terraces overlooking the sea.
Taste the island's wines
Head up into the hills of Serrara Fontana or Forio and visit a winery among the vineyards.
The terraced vineyards overlook the sea, producing unique wines such as Biancolella and Forastera.
